This is Memorial Day weekend. I always consider this to be the beginning of flag season. I try to be especially conscientious of flying our American flag Memorial Day through Flag Day at least until Independence Day.
Joe and Melissa left Friday to be chaperones again for our church's national youth retreat called Apex. It is in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. They won't be back until Monday afternoon.
We usually have a bonfire at the Taylors on Monday for Memorial Day. In the past I have brought food for them since they pretty much come straight here after dropping off all the kids. And they are tired from being on teenager Duty for 4 days! Plus she has to work first thing in the morning.
Bryan did a bunch of mechanic work on Blazer while they were gone. He did brakes and rotors and rotated tires and check the fluids. It's easier to do the work when she does not need her car then to try to schedule it around everyone's activities. It was convenient to drive it to the bonfire and go home with Bryan and let them drive her car home with them.
