Yesterday I volunteered at the STEM day camp 4-H has put on for the past several years. This year the theme was Newton's three laws of motion. We had instructional sessions several times throughout the day to learn the concepts, then we used the information to experiment. We made bottle rockets, potato shooters, rubber-band boats. Also built structures out of various materials (pretzels & marshmallows, drinking straws, ourselves!) and calculated if it was better to work alone or combine materials with a partner or team. More random fun making volcanoes and flubber!
Such a great day, but it exhausted me completely!
