So far it seems like quite a mild winter.
There was some brutal cold weeks early on and it seemed a precursor to a bad winter, but there have been a LOT of warm days. At one point there was talk that the trees would actually start to bud in January! Even the cold days have not been that cold and there has not been too much snow either.
It's been 50 or so for a week now, but today it started to snow. Who knows what it will be next week! Groundhog Day has come and gone, so winter is officially half over, and it almost feels like it hasn't really begun yet.
It's funny the opinions people have:
as long as it doesn't snow
I'd rather it rain than snow
I should move to Florida
if it's cold, there may as well be snow
I like the cold better than being too hot
can't wait for summer!
the darkness is worse than the cold
I just stay in my house
I love hiking in the snow
