Time Warner Cable has been bought by Spectrum and now the once every week issues that I had been having are practically daily. I feel lucky that I only have spectrum because Time Warner Cable was bought by them but other people who started a new account after Spectrum took over are having even more problems than we are.
My daughter has called them several times and had to have them come out to the house twice. They are so dissatisfied they are one breath away from switching to satellite or dish or DirecTV.
My cable will reboot at least once a day with no warning just drop you in the middle of your program. It has recorded two minutes of a program I set for DVR and then recorded nothing. It has frozen live rewind at a certain spot and jumped back to it no matter how you ff or rw. It has deleted programs off dvr when there was plenty of space.
At the church office today I tried to wake the computer up by shaking the mouse like usual but it didn't wake up. Sometimes that happens when it has installed updates or if someone else has shut it down instead of putting it to sleep. So I pushed the button to do a hard restart. But it didn't start. Then I checked to make sure the monitor was on so that if it started I would be able to see that it started. Several times I pushed the restart button and finally it worked. It took a lot longer than usual to bring up the home screen. And after that none of the programs would load. So I shut it down. Then it wouldn't start again at all. I had plenty of non-computer work to fill my time, but it sure was lonely without my usual music!
