The largest division in the New Testament, 21 out of the 27 books, is Epistles. Epistles are just letters. This division is broken down further into Epistles written by Paul and ones written by other apostles.
The Pauline Epistles are Romans, 1st and 2nd Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1st and 2nd Thessalonians, 1st and 2nd Timothy, Titus, and Philemon.
So Paul breaks the pattern by writing 13 books!
Again the books are organized by nothing more sophisticated than length. Except the first section are books written to churches or groups of people and the last 4 are written to individuals.
