Mock Trial

Yesterday I was able to take a trip with my friend and fellow tutor, LeeAnn, to Beaver, Pennsylvania. The homeschool coop where I have been serving this past school year offered a class to high schoolers on Logic and Mock Trial. It is such a small group that although we pull from a huge geographical area, not only did we open it up to middle school students, but a couple students even took more than one part. One of our tutors, Joann, was able to connect us with resources so the students were able to give their presentation in an actual courtroom in front of a sitting judge!

Despite being quite intimidated by this in addition to the entire process, they did a fantastic job! I was honored to serve on the jury (!) and it was a wonderful experience.

I was unable to get photos until after the event dismissed. I know others took pictures before and during, so I will try to get copies and add them to this post.
