This is the second book of the series that I commented on in February. It carries on the story of Ingeborg Bjorklund as she continues to build a home in Dakota Territory. Horrific tragedies almost destroyed her spirit but with the help of God, friends, and family, she perseveres.
Life is so different now, it's hard for me to realize how the daily life was for pioneers. I wish the books were exaggerated, but that hope is slim since multiple sources paint the picture virtually the same. I have tremendous admiration for our ancestors.
