So Gina has to have a pump attached to a port in her chest that continuously drips medicine directly into her system. Apparently, the concoction breaks down like every five minutes.
It's crazy. This whole situation is way out there.
I did some research on that girl from the medical show. She became quite the spokesperson for pulmonary hypertension. She did several shows in addition to the one I saw and also articles or whatever to support others, telling what to ask your doctors and tips on how to live life easier with a pump attached to you. I couldn't find anything on her recent and I couldn't find any evidence of her death--which means nothing. Everyone has been kind of skirting around a direct conversation of what life expectancy is projected to be, so I was hoping that girl's story would give an idea. I know she made it 17 years after diagnosis before her trail disappeared, and there's been improvements in treatments since then.
Nate was telling me how he barely got through leading worship last weekend. And I'm thinking: he even tried to lead worship?? Gina was still in the hospital an hour away! And I guess the congregation felt the same way and felt it was quite a testimony and witness of how to go through a trial such as this one. He's come a long way.
