I watch my friends kids sometimes and Frank just turned 4. He doesn't like wearing socks but I make him because it's cold these days. I don't think he remembers very well a time when he didn't go barefoot or in sandals. At that age that's too long ago to remember months ago very clearly. He always wants me to zip his jacket up all the way-- he doesn't like it unzipped and he doesn't like it part way zipped.
A few weeks ago I was watching my two nieces and we were going to go to the store. Their car door had been left unlocked so I could retrieve the car seats and after I got one out of the one side, Alana asked me, "Do you want me to shut the door for you?" I thought sure that would be helpful. But I didn't realize that she locked it when she shut it -- or that only that one door had been left unlocked for me. So when I went to get the other car seat out from the other side of the car, it was locked up tight.
At one time I lived in this world of children daily and it probably seemed more overwhelming than amusing, but at this point the peeks that I'm getting are enjoyable!
