Where Courage Calls by Jeanette Oke and
I have enjoyed books by this author for many years. This one however took great effort to get through. I am actually going to write the review before I finish, because it has taken so long already.
It is about a young woman who goes to the wilderness of Canada to teach. She encounters poor folk who yet have great generosity and community spirit. They are plagued by prejudice and poverty, but strive for education and refinement.
