Keep Scripture in Context!

This is an old funny example of what can happen when taking Scripture out of context:

A man flipped open the Bible and without looking, put his finger down on a page. When he looked, his finger was pointing at a verse which said, "And Judas went out and killed himself."

The man thought that couldn't be a word from God for him, so he tried it again. This time his finger pointed at a verse saying, "Go out and do likewise."

The man was a bit shaken by this, but determined to get direction from God, he tried one more time. The verse said, "What you must do, go and do quickly."

This is obviously NOT any way to receive direction from God!
