Adventures Hiking

We've often explored the ravine near the cabins where we vacation,and sometimes hiked it upstream a bit. This time we hiked down stream -- all the way to the lake!

Plants we saw: mayapple, skunk cabbage, forget-me-not, poison ivy, water lily, sour grass, moss,

     mushrooms. algae, shelf fungi

  Heard: turkey, hawk, bullfrog, cicada, geese, ducks,
  Seen:  snake, trout, carp, butterfly, chipmunk, squirrel, geese,
  Signs: deer prints, raccoon prints, deer rub, raccoon skat,
