Friday I had a day off so I ran around and did some errands. I stocked up on my favorite corn chowder soup mix and stopped at the goodwill where I found several designer tops for excellent prices. I checked out a few consignment shops too. All day, my eye was bothering me like there was something in it but I could never see anything.
As I was finishing up and heading home my brakes went out. Thankfully I got home safely. All day Saturday Bryan spent figuring out what was wrong and trying to fix it. And all day my eye was feeling worse and worse. Eventually I realized I had a stye.
I was anxious to go to the store and get some medicine for it as soon as the car was fixed. It was close to 10 before we finish bleeding the brakes. We barely made it to the dollar store in time to use our $5 off coupon. They did not have the medicine for my eye that I wanted. Neither did Giant Eagle so we gave up. I was concerned about driving since I couldn't see very well with my eye, but Bryan wanted me to drive so I could compare the brakes to how it usually is. By the time we got to the dollar store, I knew I wasn't safe to drive and made Bryan take over for the return trip.
Today I didn't even go to church because my eye is so painful and swollen. I watched part of the live stream but it was so hard to concentrate I gave up and took a nap.
I'm glad I don't have to watch the baby tomorrow since they are in Chicago. There's only the county 4-H meeting. Then the election. I hope I am in good enough condition to work the polls.
