Days 20-22

The bathroom ceiling is finished except one odd-shaped piece that needs cut special. We are waiting until we finish the rest of the drywall so we don't have to cut into a brand new sheet. We're hoping one of the scraps will suffice.

Even after removing some of the wall to make more clearance, the tub still wouldn't fit. We actually had to sawzall a hole in the 2x4 at the head end  of the tub against the closet! Melissa actually got into thecloset to help guide it safely around the plumbing. Finally the lip slid in!

Ha-le-lu-ia!

We found some floor tile in the basement that is obviously left over from when they redid the bathroom last time. They are peel and stick tiles so we ought to be able to cut out the ones that were damaged when we pulled up the rotted floor and the ones that fit around the shape of the old tub and replace them easily.
