Things got a lot more hectic for me this spring than I planned.
First was the Women's Conference the first week of March. Then I signed up to take a class at church. This is the one on presuppositional apologetics taught by Joe. It was originally going to run three weeks but there was so much interest in it that it extended -- in addition to having to be scheduled around sickness and Easter -- so it did not finish until last week. I had been planning on starting the finance class in April because the other class would be done and because it was near Income Tax Day when people would be thinking about their finances and wanting to make changes in their personal plans. Also 4-H goes into full swing the first of April.
In February I had been asked to take a turn teaching on Wednesday nights for Bible study. And I told them I wanted to wait until after the Women's Conference was over so I would be able to give the time to it that it deserves. So they put me down for the month of April. The topic I chose was one I had never taught before so I was organizing my material as I went along. I ended up with more material to present than would fit in the 4-week session I had, but everyone decided to extend my session one more week so the material could be covered and not left hanging.
Add to that my stint working the polls with its 16-hour day as well as this year's extra e-poll book training.
This last week I couldn't tell if I was coming or going! Now everything is accomplished except the finance class, which I have taught many times before and have videos for so it is quite easy for me, and 4-H, which is fluid all the time no matter what you do. Much more handle-able. Last night I taught the last Bible study in my session, so I have nothing new I have to prepare for and everything else is well in hand.
So tonight I am just vegetating!
Don't worry--it won't last long!
